RD Webinar:
Florida Humanities's "Community Project Grants"
Date: Wed., Feb. 7th from 2pm-2:45pm
Location: Zoom (link provided to registrants)
Florida Humanities's "Community Project Grants" support the creation and presentation of humanities-based learning experiences across Florida made available to the general public. With awards up to $10,000, these grants are designed to fund bold and forward-thinking projects that enrich communities and cultural life, encourage civic engagement, foster connections across demographic groups, and spark reflection on the human experience. Tanna Mancini, the new Grants Coordinator at the Florida Humanities, will lead a virtual workshop on the "Community Project Grants" to provide a broad overview of the program and offers suggestions for how FSU scholars in the Humanities and other disciplines might use these awards to expand the reach of their research successes.
The "Community Project Grants" program will have three funding cycles in 2024 with the following deadlines: April 3, August 7, December 4. Importantly, the program is a Limited Submissions opportunity, as FSU is permitted to submit only three applications per deadline, and each application must originate from a different department. If you hope to apply, be sure to submit a notification of interest via FSU's Limited Submissions portal prior to the corresponding internal deadline: Jan. 24, May 29, Sept. 25, respectively. For more information, email the Limited Submissions Coordinator, Carolyn Bradley (cbradley@fsu.edu).
*Note: Florida Humanities's "Greater Good: Humanities in Academia Grant" will not be available for the 2024 calendar year, but colleges and universities are invited to apply for "Community Project Grants."
