Multi-College Faculty Research Networking Event:
Educational, Justice, & Health Related Challenges Facing Underserved Populations
Co-sponsored by the The Office of Research in the College of Education
and the FSU Office of Proposal Development

This purpose of this event is to provide faculty who have a research interest in educational, justice, and/or health-related challenges facing underserved populations the opportunity to share their research interests with one another, find potential research partners, and identify funding opportunities they may want to pursue collaboratively.
Definition of underserved:

Under-resourced, not having sufficient service

In regard to health services, refers to populations that are disadvantaged because of ability to pay, ability to access care, ability to access comprehensive healthcare, or other disparities for reasons of race, religion, language group, or social status.

Refers to a population not receiving adequate service, for example, due to inability to pay or barriers to access.
Activities:

Poster Session

Posters describing related research interests and/or activities of participating faculty will be created by the College of Education’s Office of Research and used for discussion and research networking.

Roundtable Discussions

Based on the interests of the attendees, roundtables will be organized around specific topics related to the overarching theme of Educational, Justice, & Health Related Challenges Facing Underserved Populations.

A light breakfast will be provided.
