How to Create a Budget for a Research Grant Proposal

Workshop Overview

Putting together a budget can be a daunting task, especially when you are new to grant writing. Please come to this “hands-on” workshop, where we will walk through the mechanics of putting together a budget and answer your questions. This workshop will be co-facilitated by Jenn Garye from the Office of Research and Trey Bauer from Sponsored Research Administration.

Speakers

Jenn Garye has been with FSU for 11 years.  She has spent time both at the departmental level, as well as central administration.  In her current role as Program Director for the Office of the Vice President for Research, she is responsible for reviewing all proposal budgets for their respective units.

Trey Bauer has been a research administrator at FSU for over five years. His current assignment includes handling all pre-award activities for the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory, the Coastal & Marine Laboratory, and the Panama City campus, among others. In this capacity, he is tasked with reviewing and approving all proposal budgets submitted by the departments he handles.
