Collaborative Collision: Climate Solutions

Spring 2022

Climate solutions, not just climate problems.

Florida is especially vulnerable from the intersection of climate-driven adversities (increased hurricane frequency, low-elevation flooding, high incidence of heat waves) with a large population that is growing faster than the country as a whole, and is increasingly coastal. The technologies, practices, and policies needed to address climate issues will be developed by university researchers, and implemented by our students. These climate solutions will require broad interdisciplinary perspectives, and contributions from many different areas of research.

Collaborative Collision focuses on faculty member's research background and interests. Faculty researchers were asked to create a Research Profile, discussing their expertise and specific ways they can help or be helped by a collaborator or team. 

Who attended?

Collaborative Collision: Climate Solutions featured presentations from members of the FSU and FAMU research community who have completed or are conducting research related to climate change, mitigation, and adaptation topics. Participants came from a variety of STEM, Social Sciences, and Arts and Humanities disciplines, united by their interest in solving one of our most urgent crises.
