Fall 2022 Issue
Welcome from the ORD Director
Beth Hodges
Welcome to the Fall 2022 semester! We are looking forward to another great year of working with the faculty and helping to advance research and creative activity here at FSU.
I wanted to let you know about a new structure we have created within ORD to better focus on faculty research concentration areas. That is our new research development coordinator cohort. Please visit our website to learn more about us and who to contact and, as always, feel free to reach out to me at bhodges@fsu.edu if you have any questions.
As a reminder, events and learning opportunities will be posted to our homepage throughout each semester and we have a wealth of resources and services available to support your research initiatives year round.
Early Career Research Development Program
One-on-one meetings are offered to all first-year assistant professors. During these sessions, we learn about your research and discuss resources and strategies to provide a research roadmap to take you from your first semester on campus to tenure.
Purpose of the program is to provide:
- Coaching through next steps, assessing needs and planning goals
- Accountability and structure
- Guidance towards grant activities and university resources
We'll help you navigate tools across the FSU Office of Research and campus and provide resources, workshops, and individualized support for your research development.
Led by Dr. Rachel Goff-Albritton, Assistant Director for Research Advancement and Mentoring.
