Electronics and Energy
The electronic material research is mainly focused on developing experimental and theoretical techniques for the sensing and quantification of temperature, pressure, chemical and biological species based on nano-material and nano-structure and the optimization of the sensitivity, selectivity, and stability of these sensors. The energy material research is to tailored material structures and properties to meet various technical challenges existed in current technologies and engineering practices for developing high energy and power densities, and long lifespan energy storage and conversion devices including Li-ion batteries, Li-air batteries, fuel cells, and supercapacitor.
