Partnership with Oak Ridge National Laboratory through Oak Ridge Associated Universities
Oak Ridge National Laboratory is the largest US Department of Energy science and energy laboratory, conducting basic and applied research to deliver transformative solutions to compelling problems in energy and security.
Through a Core University Partnership, FSU faculty, postdoctoral fellows, and graduate students have the opportunity to visit the Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) and to use ORNL facilities and/or developing and facilitating research collaborations with ORNL staff members.
Under certain circumstances, funds can be used to support reciprocal travel of ORNL staff members to FSU for the purpose of developing research collaborations and presenting university-wide seminars.
To request support to visit ORNL click on the “Request Travel Support” button below and complete the form.
If the request is approved, you will be authorized for a specific amount and provided a budget number for your departmental travel representative to arrange your travel and process subsequent reimbursements. Funds are limited, so travelers are encouraged to be as economical as possible.
The FSU traveler must coordinate with the ORNL contact ahead of the visit in order to arrange for a visitor pass. You will not be able to enter ORNL facilities without this pass.
Upon completion of the trip, the FSU Traveler is required to submit a 1-page report summarizing the collaboration experience. Reports are due two weeks after the trip.
If you have any questions, please email mshatruk@fsu.edu.
